Getting started
Follow these steps to create a new proposal in Kimble:
Step 1: Start a New Proposal
Click on either of the “New Proposal” buttons located:
- In the left-hand menu, or
- At the top-right corner of the Kimble interface.

Step 2: Select Business Type
On the Business Type tab, choose the type of entity you wish to propose:
- Company
- Education / Local Authority
- Charity
- Others
Click Next to proceed.
Step 3: Enter Client Details
In the Client Details tab, you can search for the company using:
- Company Registration Number – this ensures the correct entity is found.
- Company Name – a list of matching or similar companies will appear in a pop-up; select the correct one.

Optional:
Tick the "Trading As" box if the company operates under another name, and enter the additional name.
Once selected, the company address will auto-fill the address fields.
You may overwrite these fields if a different address is required.
Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Fill Out Proposal Asset Details
In the Proposal Asset section, enter the following:
- Your Reference – give the proposal a unique and identifiable name (e.g., “Finance Department Laptops”).
- Contract Type – choose either RV Lease or Finance Lease.
- Deal Amount – enter the full value of the proposal.
- Contract Period – select the appropriate duration in months.
- Repayment Profile – choose Quarterly, Annually, or Monthly. (Note: Monthly may require additional approvals.)
Optional: Asset Details
You may include a list of assets with:
- Equipment Type
- Condition
- Quantity
Supporting Documents
Upload any relevant documents that will assist with the approval process.
Additional Notes
Include any other information that should be considered when reviewing the proposal.
Click Next to move on.
Step 5: Review & Confirm
The final Confirmation tab will display a summary of your proposal.
- If you need to make changes, click Previous to go back and edit.
- When everything looks correct, click Confirm to create the proposal.
Once the proposal is created, you’ll be able to view it in the Proposals section of Kimble.
Follow these steps to edit a proposal that has already been submitted
Step 1: Go to the Proposals Page
Navigate to the Proposals section in Kimble to view all submitted proposals.

Step 2: Locate the Proposal
Find the specific proposal you want to edit.
Use the search bar or filters if needed to narrow down your results.
Step 3: Open the Edit Menu
Click the three dots (•••) on the right-hand side of the proposal entry.
Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Make Your Edits
You will be taken to the Proposal Asset section, where you can edit:
- Deal Value
- Contract Term
- Assets
- Supporting Documents
- Additional Notes
Update the necessary fields and continue through the form as required.
Important Note
Once a proposal has been submitted, client details cannot be edited.
If you need to change the client name, address, or registration details, you will need to create a new proposal instead.
Additional Actions from the Three Dots Menu
From the same menu, you can also:
- Clone the Proposal
Use this to quickly create a new proposal for the same client, copying over key details from the original. - Mark Deal as Dead
Use this option to close down a proposal—especially useful if you need to change client details and plan to create a new proposal to replace it.
