V-Track FAQs

Get to know V-Track

V-Track is an agent-based IT asset tracking solution that requires some software to be installed on the devices first before it starts tracking them.

After installation, the devices communicates with the V-Track services on your premise or on the V-Track Cloud via secure connections tracking the current state of the devices such as:

• Geo IP Location and Network Location.
• Hardware Specifications.
• Software Configuration and Licensing Information.
• User Information.
• OEM Warranty Information.
• Printers & peripherals connected to the devices and more.

In short, yes.

We give you the opportunity to test out V-Track in two ways:

  • On-Premise If you opt into wanting to use the V-Track On-Premise solution, we can install the V-Track services on a separate (virtual) server on your network and issue a limited use license that you can use to test the functionality of V-Track over an agreed period and a set number of devices.
